Ready to emerge from my 200+ pound cocoon

Being a larger person for my entire adult life and the majority of my childhood I have developed a thick skin and managed to put the most sophisticated blinders on as I was able to ignore my size and deceive myself into believing I wasn't as large as I truly was.

It wasn't until I broke yet another chair that I decided it's time to take off the blinders and face the fact that I am big and will continue to get bigger if I don't do something about it.

I want to shed off ...

It wasn't until I broke yet another chair that I decided it's time to take off the blinders and face the fact that I am big and will continue to get bigger if I don't do something about it.

I want to shed off the layers of fake smiles, hurt feelings and excess weight and emerge as the beautiful butterfly that I know must be buried in here somewhere.

Thank you for your comment on my blog. That's exactly what my roommate/best friend says - that I don't give myself enough credit and I need to step back and look at myself like I'd look at someone else.

I DID dive first into Red Robin burger and fries last night. But I recorded the calories and I am back on track today. I am just trying to keep motivated when I am feeling frustrated. The pictures definitely helped me put things into perspective.

I appreciate the support and understanding!!!! I'm in it for the long haul, even if it feels like it's going soooo slow.

Thank you for your comments on my page. 'Hog away'! :)

For myself I believe that if I'm truly hungry I should eat. Healthy foods, mind you, things like vegetables (soup, stew) or fruit. They will give my body nutrients it needs to be healthy and to keep my mood stable.
Going very hungry for me means I'll overeat / binge later on.
Avoiding a binge to me has priority!
