2014 The year to make a difference.

This year I will be mindful of my intentions. Working each day towards my goals.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

My Spark Name is based on an old fashioned name for butter fly. What would happen if I just let the weight loss land on me? No more struggle, no more worry. I just calmly trust the process. That thought brings peace.

THANK you for the goodie. It made me wonder what creative fun thing I might do today. My husband will be taking my 25 year old to art. It is a drop in life drawing group so I could go too. Sometimes I really enjoy it and my daughter could give me some "improvement" ideas. Lately my drawing has been terrible... Because of her Asperger's she has a limited tolerence for being social and "out" but I would really LIKE to go to the science museum with Bob which is out that direction. They have an exhibit of things people have made in their garages, basements... robots, lego diaramas, machines that chop vegetables or make you breakfast, solar powered items. Something like from the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Inventors. I'm sure we would all enjoy it... but she has a game tonight with friends. I'll think about the art class. Maybe I'll bring coloured pencils and do something different. Think outside the box.

Hope the card weaving went well. I have always enjoyed trying new crafts. I know this journey to be healthy is much more than the scale numbers. It is about being healthy, happy, less stressed. Thanks for the reminder,.

Congratulations too for trying new foods and looking at new recipes. I found a website "real healthy foods" that has mostly paleo recipes so I am trying some and seeing if there are some that are worth incorporating inot our lives. I think fewer grains are good for us and more vegetables. Like you I don't want to go vegan or paleo... but there certainly are some neat ways to try veggies. I cut up some fennel to roast with butternut squash onions and carrots and zucchini for dinner with curry and cumin and cinnamon and nutmeg. "Morrocan" like. And I'll be making squash soup with cauliflower and chick peas. Most of the recipes I made for my daughter came from the real food site. I LOVE the way I cooked the turkey breast in the slow cooker... came out so wonderfully and she will be able to freeze it and put it on salads. I got the idea from her chicken pasta with mushroom and broccoli and cream sauce.... how she cooks the chicken breasts with herbs and lemon juice. Anyways, keep trying new things and savouring your food! Joy! emoticon Justyna
