I am a 49-year old Christian woman. I am married to the love of my life, and we have one daughter who is 28 years old, a granddaughter who absolutely lights up our lives, and a grandson who's smile will melt anybody's heart. We have 2 cats and 3 wonderful Shih Tzu dogs.
I am a Registered Mammographer and I work in a Cancer Center.
I love to read Christian novels - Terri Blacstock & Brock & Bodie Thoene are favorites.
I cross-stitch and crochet (although very little of either these days!!)
My husband & I are very active in our Church.
We are also members of CMA (Christian Motorcyclist's Association) and are very involved in that ministry.
Thank you so much for taking time to answer my Blog question. It really means a lot! I am not sure what I am going to do yet - maybe wait for my body to tell me...... - that should be interesting when it does - LOL
I saw your comment on PINKHOPE's review of the new Spark Activity Tracker. I agree about counting the way Fitbit counts the stairs. Sometimes i don't get any (my bedroom and bathroom are on the 2nd floor) and sometimes I get more than I actually do. I suppose that in the end it all evens out...
As for getting credit for your full three miles, you should be able to get this adjusted by going to your personal settings and changing the length of your walking stride. I'm fairly sure that Fitbit calculates the distance covered by multiplying the number of steps by the length of stride taken, so by lengthening your stride number, you should show an increase in distance.
I also have a Fitbit One now, (I wore out a Fitbit Ultra, it didn't stand up to the flexing in putting it on and taking it off my bra and also putting it on its charger) and I like the sleep tracking feature very much. I do wish that it was waterproof, but I guess we can't have all the desired features (yet).
Good luck with getting the distance problem worked out.
