My Goals:
I have signed up for a Philanthropic Challenge - Lose it to Cure it! I have committed myself to losing 30lbs by April 24th. My long term goal will be to be a size 8 or 143lbs by December 2010.

My Program:
I have been following a running regiment - to build up my stamina to running 2 miles straight :o) That has been making me sweet 3 days a week I add weight training in with my 30+ minutes of Cardio.

Personal Information:
I am originally from Montral Canada... moved to Seattle for High School and then Arizona for college. I am happy here... I am finding myself here!! I am a single mom with a great support system :o) www.the3day.org/goto/makingadifference

Other Information:
I like Harry Potter and any Chick Flick when you think about it!! I love to dance and to sing :o)

I would love to participate in the 3 day, it just seems like a phenomenal experience. I have looked into the meetings and unfortunately, the one closest to me if just over an hour away. Might make it more difficult for me to find people to train with as well. And if you don't mind my asking, how difficult is the fundraising? Well, I'll look into the meeting again ... at least I can find out more info! :) Hope you've been having a great weekend!!

saw your post about our 5 year old...i used to be a Kindergarten assistant and now i have my teaching licensure!

Have you spoke to her teacher and worked out a plan to combat the unwanted behavior?

Explain to her when it is okay to talk, and that you and her teacher are going to communicate about her behaviors at school, and set up a reward system - does the teacher have a planner to write daily notes?
If she has a good day - reward her (maybe play date with a friend, she gets 15 minutes extra of one on one time with you, or stories, stickers etc.)
Is she conversing with friends during the opportune times like recess, etc?

If she has a bad day youcould do no reward or offer a slight negative, by taking away something she enjoys. My son did this the past year at pe-school - nap-time specifically (woke up the other children). I worked really hard with his teacher to eliminate the unwanted behavior!

Thanks for the encouragement on my blog. It is too much information that I think will come around again if I really need it. See I still doubt it some what. But, I am getting better.
