It's been two years since many big events in my life have taken place: divorce, my daughter living abroad in Africa then India, a job change and of course my most important work - escorting my mother to the her next life. Hospice work for my mother with my sister, nieces, and my daughter was one of the most incredible events in my life. My mama was proud and it was a life changing event. I feel honored.

In the two years since, so many wonderful things have happened. My daughter graduated from college and landed an incredible job, my job is fulfilling and I've met a lovely man.

The only thing that is out of whack is this pesky weight. I have so much to live for and have decided that I don't want to waste another day feeling less than stellar.

My program is Eat to Live and it is doable. You gotta love vegetables. I also am a big juicer (as in green juice.) I have created incredible receipes and I am excited.

October 21, 2013 is day one where finally, I pull it all together - Exercise (Turbo Fire!!), Food (Eat to Live). Yoga, with Meditation/Prayer and Visualization. I have all the tools and knowledge so the only thing left to do, is to do it. I'm ready.

I am looking forward to reaching my goals and still, my deep and personal goal is to have something to pass on to you, all of my SparkFamily and I hope to prove as invaluable to you as my Sparkfriends are to me.

My Goals:
I will have a lean and strong body and to stop taking wonderful genetics for granted.



My Program:
Food:

Accomplish these things daily:

- Eating Clean

- No Fake Stuff (sucralose, etc)

- No Fast Food

- Based on Eat to Live and Green Juice!

- 100 oz of water

- Fish Oil, Biotin and a Multivitamin


Spirtuality:
Daily Prayer, Meditation and Yoga


Exercise:
Just MOVE and SWEAT!


Attitude:

Helpful, Happy and Giving, always




Personal Information:
I live in the SF Bay Area. My 21 year old daughter is a recent college graduate and is wonderful.



The big hairy thing in my life: Fulfilling my mom's dying declaration that I stay healthy and take over as matriarch of our family. As well as learning to live as a single person. Man, I have so much to learn and look forward to! Life is good.


Other Information:
I have never had health problems- no diabetes, no high blood pressure, no medication of any kind. But at my age and this weight, problems are inevitable unless I make some changes.

    Hi Chana! Glad to see you back and excited for all the great things happening in your life right now! (and your daughter's!)
    For me it's been way harder this time around. The first time I was here I could focus fully on weight loss and it was easy to find the time to exercise and track food... this time around not so easy. My baby, Owen, demands so much more time and energy from me then Bryn ever did when she was little and he's not a big fan of sleep. So it's tough to fight the sugar cravings on no sleep and tough to find time to run or put in a video, but he's so worth it, it's fun being a mommy again :) And slowly I'm inching my way down to my goal again, slow progress is still progress!

    Thanks... it's all up to him regarding his health... and yes, I am proud that he decided to continue his education because at one point he was considering another path. But he actually likes college and has chosen a major that he really enjoys.

    I do my workouts in the evening. I do AM/PM walk to work, weather permitting @ 1 hour per walk. When I get home I do either more cardio or ST. Tomorrow is a ST day for me with P90X, shoulders, chest & triceps. Tuesday will be cardio so I will pull out a Turbo Fire workout and post which one I do...

    ... this will be fun! emoticon

    ... I have Turbo Fire. It is intense, but a lot of fun... great music. I have to pull that out. Which one are you going to start with. I can add Turbo Fire in my rotation and do some with you. emoticon emoticon emoticon
