From reading your spark page, it sounds like you should have enough strength to do the pole. You probably just have to get used to using it. If you can't take classes, you can get some ideas on you tube or buy a dvd.
It's just a lot different than any other type of fitness. So no matter how fit you are, it takes a little time to master it.
