Ok Lets Start Over Again!!

I'm a 60 yrs old mom of 3 grown kids and grandma of 8. I am a nurse but because of my very bad knees I am unable to work on the floor anymore so babysit my 3 little grandkids ages 6, 4 and 2. I work partime after the kids go home and on days when my daughter is off. I have had some health problems this year which has cost me a lot of stamina. So Im just trying to get my strength back again. I am now able to use the stationary bike for 25 mins. I really want to lose at least 50 lbs before my ...

I work partime after the kids go home and on days when my daughter is off. I have had some health problems this year which has cost me a lot of stamina. So Im just trying to get my strength back again. I am now able to use the stationary bike for 25 mins. I really want to lose at least 50 lbs before my 40th wedding anniversary in July 2014 . I still would need to lose more weight after that but I havent weighed 170 lbs in probably 25 years! So that is my goal. My main reason for trying to lose weight by next year besides my anniversary is because Im going to have to have knee replacements done and the less I weigh the easier recovery will be. My grandkids are a huge inspiration to me. They want me to be able to play with them and there are some things I just cant do either because of my knees or my weight.
UPDATE In Sept I joined SparkCoach which helped me tremendously! I have lost 45lbs to date. and I have gone down 4 pant sizes! I have never had such commitment and the only thing I have done different this time is SparkCoach and participation in my teams challenges. I have had so much support from my team mates! I am on the best teams .I attribute my success to them and to SparkCoach.
I still have a long way to go, but now I know its just a mater of time and I will be at my goal. My doctors are all pleased with my weight loss. Im hoping I can get off some of my blood pressure meds too! If you are struggling give SparkCoach a try. I know it costs money but it is money well spent.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose 90 lbs by the end of 2014. I also need to build up my stamina to be able to get the proper amount of exercise to keep healthy.

My Program:
I am watching my calorie and fat intake. I signed up with SparkCoach and it has helped me so much! I love to cook and try new recipes. I'm excited to start trying all the recipes on Spark People

Personal Information:
I live in the most beautiful place in the world Flagstaff.AZ . I have 2 dogs and 8 grandchildren.

Other Information:
My favorite authors are Diana Gabaldon, Lisa See , Janet Evanovich and Nora Roberts. I LOVE to shop. That's exercise right??! I love to travel, in fact, I think I work just so I can travel. This July my hubby and I will be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. I would like to be in the 160s by then. One of my most powerful incentives has been the website Modcloth! I find so many cute dresses that I want but I have to lose more weight to fit into them!

Thank you so much for the supportive comment! Probably the only reason I didn't eat cookies is cause there aren't any in the house. There's pretty much nothing unhealthy here, but plenty of things I can eat too much of. Ugh.
