Hello everyone!! I thought since I have strayed from this site over the years it was time to post a new introduction. My name is Sara and I am 27 years old. I am fast approaching the end of my twenties and life has drastically changed since my early twenties. I have a degree in food and nutrition and I am finishing up my masters in nutrition to encourage preventative lifestyle living as opposed to reactive medicine. I have been on my own weightloss journey for years and I have my ups and downs. This year I am forging ahead to new heights as I want to compete in a 5K challenge and hopefully longer races in my future. I have the education, career, and now I just need to feel and look the part. I feel that this site helps keep me accountable for my actions and I hope to succeed with the help of all you out in cyber space. This year I will make long term changes to keep the balance of work, school, and my health in check. I will share my struggles, accomplishments, and support you all through this new transformation. My Program:
I am doing a combination of gym excercise and outdoor activities, such as, walking the lake (5miles), biking, and building up to run. My nutrition plan is simple. No fast food, no alcohol, eat six mini meals a day full of fruits, veggies, and mainly fish and chicken. Oh and complex carbs(whole grain, whole wheat)! Yes people carbs are good for you especially if your going to be working out!

Other Information:
"I didn't get to where I am today worrying about how I'm going to feel tomorrow." So get your sweat on even if your sore tomorrow and do it all over again!

Parker:
You are so sweet... thanks for thinking about me. Yes, I think I was on the same ride you were (in my case, for the last three weeks) I guess I didn't check in much because I was moving real slow. Not major gains (7/5 +1, 7/22-+.6, 7/29 +.4), no big deal but I was going in the wrong direction due to three road trip vacations within 6 weeks. This week, I lost 2.4 so I hope to be going in the right direction again but I think that was merely luck this week.

Not spending enough time at sparkpeople, spending most of my time setting up my facebook and not staying as motivated as I was, that was my problem. I am at 203 today and I ideally want to be at 175 in the next couple months... I was dragging my feet and YOU, like the angel you are, sent me a message today out of the blue... and I have no more "summer fun" excuses.

Thanks Parker... we both have our goals... and we'll do it.
