Finding Control

Back again. The last time I tried Sparkpeople, I actually did quite well. I started jogging about the same time, and lost a lot of weight. I was feeling really good, until I wasn't. Then, tired all the time became a struggle to keep going, became this constant, waterlogged state of being where I barely had the energy to think, let alone move.

It took a while, and quite a few doctors, but I finally found the right specialist. Surgery was in March, and I feel like a new me. ...

It took a while, and quite a few doctors, but I finally found the right specialist. Surgery was in March, and I feel like a new me. Unfortunately, the weight isn't falling off the way I'd hoped it would. And so, here I am again. Surgery side affects will prevent me from running for a few more months, but that doesn't mean that I can't get my diet under control now.

For the well wishes. I'm glad it's not a stroke either. The headache is about a 3 or a 4 right now, but the numbness/pain on the left side of my tongue is annoying me the most.

Funny that since I started my weight loss journey after Liam was born, that I'm no longer that kind of person who can sit on the couch and consider it relaxing.

I'm going to take it easy today, maybe take a leisurely walk with the dog, but other than that I'm not going to push too hard, I hope

Welcome! Your roses are gorgeous- where in Alberta are you growing them? I grew up in Red Deer but have managed to migrate east over the years until I have now landed in NS. I entered the sexy 60's earlier this year- love gardening and keeping young in spirit, SP helps to keep me fitter and more aware of what I eat- mostly good as I am a veggie and fruit devotee. Hope you join in on our contest- it is a great way to discover the many varied growing zones we have. Enjoy your time here....MJ from NS

Oh my gawd it's me again!

I am also single by choice, my last long term relationship was 4 years ago.

With much hard work and dedication to improving my health, with much poundage lost and growing my hair a wee bit longer, I feel sexy again!
Leaving the nifty 50's in August and entering the Sexy Sixties, so I best try to keep up with that slogan! I ready for the challange!

Hello FIXEDWINGS's !

Thanks for joining the Canadian Gardeners Team!
We have a gardening contest open to all who would like to particpate.
Depending on your local, it is still not too late to join in the fun and nickname your plant! Perhaps starting from seeds, is not for you but a nursery plug/s, would be accepted at this time.

We have a variety of discussions about gardening and health related topics. Please feel free to jump in or start a newdiscussion, if you can't find a related topic.

I must say I love your background on your personal page and photo album.
Think I will try doing that with one of my garden photo 's too!

Look forward to responding to your future posts! I will be adding you as a friend on my personal page, just as soon as I post this little message!
