It is time for me to starting fitting in fitness into my life. I keep letting things get in my way and I blame it on life getting in my way. But the truth is Fitness needs to be part of my life.
So here I go again. I have the tools I need. I know what to do and how to do. So what is it I need to be successful. I think , I need forgiveness.
Through sparks I have made many great changes. I have stopped drinking soda! My family is now a soda free family. Makes it a little weird if we have people over for a party. But people are adjusting.
I have also been introduced to Flylady.net through sparkpeople. The Flylady has me pegged as a perfectionist who wants to be perfect but the perfectionist in me keeps me from getting anything done!
That is what I think is also happening on my weight loss journey. The moment I am not "perfect" I give up. And it takes all my will power to get me back up again.
So This time I will not be so hard on my self.
I currently set up an Excell spread sheet with a list of my a daily goals. Part of them are for Sparks, some are from Flylady and some are just personal items. And then I have a column for each day of the week. As I accomplish an item I add a point for item.
My intent is that I will see all that I have accomplished and I might be able to see a trend of what I am not accomplishing. But the most important is I am not beating my self up for those I do not do!

I have also decided to rest my tracker. I have my tracker now set for mini goals. Before I had it set for my ultimate goal. But it was so over whelming to see how far that was and to see how slowly my progress was taking.
Now I just start with my highest weight and I put in a reasonable goal but a reasonable day. I put the track image to match my goal day. For example my first goal date is for when I return to school. By that time I hope to be 11 pound lighter. In the mean time it has been making me feel very motivated when I see that my tracker is almost half way there. I know feel like I can actually reach that goal! If I make it to 11lb but the beging of school my next goal will be around 20 lbs by halloween. The nice thing will be that my ticker will already show me half way there by then! So that should be a great incentive.

update 9/08 Well I am now back to school I did not make the 11 lbs. But as of today I am at 8.4. So I am still happy.
I am keeping the 11lb. goal because for me I think it is important for me to reach a goal and I do not want to stretch it out. Plus I am only loosing about a half a pound right now so lets just keep it real. I am changing to a pumpkin becuase it is time. to do so. If I reach the 11 lbs before halloween then maybe I will stretch the goal bar then. But untill then I am just going to pluck away.

So For my mini goals I have
loose a total of 11 lbs but my return to work. (Met 8.4)
loose a total of 20 lbs by halloween (will be happy with 11-15)
loose a total of 30 lbs by Christmas (might need to change to 20)

Very reasonable goals I think! (Just trying to be real with my self!
