For me, living life to its fullest includes running, and now rock climbing, and irritating my friends with the knowledge I've found on Spark People and on other weight loss communities.

I'm not perfect and I don't pretend to or aspire to be perfect, either. I'm just me and I love that.

I decided to get fit because my hip joint decided to give me an ultimatum in April of 2010 - shape up or ship out. When my hip went out at 22, I knew if I didn't get healthy, I was going to end up crippled or dead or both. So I'm doing this my way with lots of roadblocks and hurdles along the way, and I'm learning to dodge, jump over, and knock down the haters, the stress, the disbelief and the lack of motivation that can have detrimental effects day in and day out.

I firmly believe in the phrase, "YOU GOT THIS." It's all I need to keep going strong.

Depends what you mean by "back back". I have no intention to diet or do any significant amount of exercise until I get healthier--which I think is mostly getting a better doctor to work with me on my thyroid problem. I plan to try a visit to an allergist also. I'm quite busy at work and home, and I could definitely check in but there honestly isn't typically a lot to draw me to Spark unless I'm tracking my diet. Though I do engage in the occasional discussion on the big-brain group also.
