Fit, healthy, and Happy

I started this journey on 3/31/08. I've lost a total of 95 pounds but have gained a few back. I haven't quite reached my goal and have been standing at a crossroads for several months. I have been having doubts about being able to be successful and keep this weight off. I decided to choose the right direction, get back with SPARK, keep track of myself, and start walking on the right path. One of my favorite sayings is:

My life is NOW....whether I'm overweight or not.....fit or not. I have always been such a black and white, all or nothing kind of thinker. There are so many gray areas in life so I'm still learning to just be in the moment. Getting back on SPARK will help me to keep my vision of my goals in mind & help me stay focused. I love moving my body! It feels like being a kid again, like going out to play.

My Goals:
My goal is to reach 162 pounds through exercise and eating healthy.

My Program:
I started off working with a personal trainer. She also has a fitness ministry. I lost 95 pounds, have gained a few back--it actually goes on and back off, but overall kept all of it off. I have a few pounds left to go. I used to volunteer by teaching spinning, rowing, and a weight lifting class. I got certified to teach Zumba anda program called R.I.P.P.E.D (see rippedusa.com) am now teaching 3 60 minute Zumba classes a week, 2-3 45 minute Zumba classes, and 5 R.I.P.P.E.D. classes a week. I will start walking and/or running 1 to 2 days per week when it warms up just to shake things up. I also lift weights 1-2 times per week. I love working out and I love instructing.

Personal Information:
I live in Iowa and am originally from Minnesota. I've lived in Iowa since 1982.

Other Information:
I love the idea of getting healthy and strong! I have enjoyed the progress I've made and love that my body strong. I LOVE MUSCLES!
