It seems like just yesterday we were starting 2009 and I was going to lose the little weight that I had slipping back on. Well, I certainly blew that one. I have gain even more. Now, it is 2010 and I am starting over. My clothes are tight, some won't even fit. In 2008, I threw away all the big size; in 2010 I am not buying them again.
Wow, How the time flies. I have been using SP for almost 3 years. I should change my name, since I am so far past 57 now, but that would confuse everyone.
As 2009 begins I a struggling to keep from slipping back into bad habits, with SP and all my friends I know I can.
In 2006, selected a user name of Fitness57, because at the age of 57, I started my journey to become truly fit and healthy. Now, at age 59, I can say it is going quite well. I am still going to the gym, 2 years later which I joined in October, 2005 and started working out for the first time in my life. Thanks to my daughter, who wanted a gym partner.
Today, I am reviewing my goals to see if they are still where I want to focus.....
My goals are quite simple.
I want to stay healthy. ..Good, we keep it! Nov. 2007
I want to keep my bones healthy. --Yes, Definitely
I want to keep my mind sharp. Duh..Of course!
I want to increase my endurance and flexibility. ..Yes, and get stronger.
I want to maintain a healthy weight. ..Yes, definitely, and I am doing it!
I would like to encourage others...Yes, but I did have to set limits to my posting on SP.
I want to help my daughter to be healthy and reach her goals to lose weight. --We are working hard to do this!
I would like to keep my DH around along time, so he needs to be healthy too. (that may be the hardest of my goals) ..Ok, still the hardest, he is not easy to control, I realize it has to be his choice.
I will accomplish my goals by maintaining my exercise program, losing a few more pounds and keeping them off. I will cook and eat healthy, setting a example for the others in my household.
So, for 2008, I want to stay on track to a healthier me.

I want to stay healthy and fit, growing older gracefully.
Increased endurance, decrease/eliminate lower back pain ..I have no lower back
Support my daughter so she can achieve her goals
To stay under 130 pounds, eat healthy and keep working out.
going to gym 3 times a week
Making healthy meals; avoiding refined grains products, and trying to track what I am eating better.

Hi Deana, I just wanted to stop by and let you know how much you are missed . I sure hope your not working to hard. You have to take time for yourself as well. We are starting a new challenge this week and we would sure like you to join in. Weigh in tomorrow and start along with us.
