I'll supposedly look like this at my goal weight. Okay, so it's not an exact science...

I adopted my foster kitten! His name is Chimp and he is more fun than a barrell full o' monkeys.

Look forward to being slim again

For several years, I've thought about losing weight but never did much about it for more than a week here or two there. But I finally decided that it was time to buckle down for the long haul and on May 1st/ 07, I joined SparkPeople.

I have committed to updating this page at least monthly to reflect the fact that this is a journey and as such will be rife with evolving struggles, thoughts and goals. Besides, keeping my Spark Page current will help keep me accountable. And ...

I have committed to updating this page at least monthly to reflect the fact that this is a journey and as such will be rife with evolving struggles, thoughts and goals. Besides, keeping my Spark Page current will help keep me accountable. And trust me; I need all the help I can get!

My favourite team here is my "Class:" the people who started their Spark journeys during the same week as I. I'm fortunate to have the company of some truly exceptional individuals, several of whom have lost more than 4 times the weight I have thus far (and several of whom haven't). Their encouragement, humour and support makes an immeasurable difference to me.

So far its been good...a little weird (first time pregnant and all) as its not what I expected...

But, I do love it and I'm learning to get used to this big belly and the stuff that goes along with it. :)

Hey you! I was glad to see you little comment...what kind of support do you need?

I offer an A-class kick in the arse (with steel toed boots), OR a top-notch cry part where we check the scale then smash it to smithereens and as penance run 2 miles each way to the store to buy a new one OR the one that most people take me up on which is a big virtual *hug*, a reminder that this is a lifestyle change and then a little friendly competition...hmmm...like you vs me...pushups or eating or water to some other little baby steps to get you back on track. :)

I'll wait in anticipation for your answer. :)

thank u for the encouragement, fmj =). u know, it never really set in that i might be going thru an actual plateau until u mentioned it in your comment to me ^_^". all this time i kept thinking that i could explain why i haven't lost any weight for these last couple of weeks, so it never really occurred to me that i might really be experiencing a plateau. boy was i wrong, LoL! oh well... u're right about plateaus being a part of the weight-loss progress. i just have to keep reminding myself that it's a PROGRESS-- even if everything seems to be moving at a crawl. i'm really hoping to break thru this standstill soon, tho. i could really use the motivation! thanks again =)

aww... thanks, fmj! =D u always know how to bring a smile to my face, i swear =P. the super-model comment kinda made me laugh when u added the whole not being a cocaine addict and having size 11 feet and an eating disorder, LoL. funny thing is, up until recently my feet WERE a size 11 (*gasp* huge, i know!) but now they've "delightfully" shrunk to my usual size 10, LoL *^.^* ...

newayz! how've u been doing? i noticed u hadn't posted for a while, but i never bothered to really ask ^_^". i've actually been slackin' on postin' on the monday weigh-ins thread, but then again my progress hasn't been that great as of late either =/. i'm still thankful for how much i've accomplished thus far, but i'm really looking forward to achieving my goal for the hubby's homecoming sometime next month =). only 5.5lbs to go! =D

nehowz, sorry to have written your eyes out, LoL, but just wanted to say thanks again for just bein' so darn sweet! (oh! and i love the new kitty! *^.^*)... take karez!~!!
