My name is Jessica and I am a 31 years old looking to get healthy for my family but more importantly myself! The last 13 years I have ballooned in my weight for many reasons. These days I am a mess of emotions some good and some bad, but I am starting my life over. I am in my 30's and I am so over riding the backseat in life! I am a mother of a beautiful 8 year old daughter Gracie. I need to step up and be a positive role model and teach my daughter the healthy road. This page will be about my journey the good the bad and the very ugly. Buckle up it's going to be a bumpy ride!
The program that I am beginning is the 21 day fix. I am still going to use Sparkpeople to track my food and fitness, but I am using the fix to learn correct portion control and clean eating.
I am going to exercise for at least 30 minutes daily using both the 21 day fix workouts and Jillian Michaels videos. I will also be incorporating fun family activities into our daily routine to keep my family healthy.
"Just because we are knocked down does not mean that we are out. We still have breath in our lungs and tears flowing down - all signs that we are alive! Take a deep breath and be reminded that often our biggest struggles are stepping stones to our greatest victories." -Rae Smith
Just stopping by to wish you a healthy, happy week, Spark friend! Keep your goals in mind and keep pushing yourself every day to get closer. It isn't easy, but never forget that you are worth the effort! Hugs, Pixie
“The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.” -John C. Maxwell
Get ready for a healthy week, Sparkfriend! You know what you want, and you know what you need to do in order to make it happen...so just do it! Push yourself, even if you don't feel like it...because you really are worth the effort! Hugs, Pixie
"The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true....action precedes motivation. You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals. Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job, and often taking the first step is enough to prompt you to make the best of your day." -Robert McKain
Hi Sparkfriend, I hope you're having a fun and healthy weekend! Keep your goals in mind, and keep doing your best to make progress towards reaching them. Never forget that you are always worth your very best effort! Hugs, Pixie
"Making changes in your life is never an easy task. The key, however, is not to get caught up in the distance you have to go to get to where you want to be. Nor should you despair over the amount of control you have over your circumstances. Progress is made in the small, intentional steps, and chances are, you have more power than you think. By focusing on little steps you can take every day, the progress you make will motivate you to continue your journey, and eventually, you can go wherever you want to go. The important thing is simply to begin." -Stephen Cherniske
Have a great week, Sparkfriend! Take those intentional steps towards your goals! Every small step is progress, and you are so worth it! Hugs, Pixie
