My name is Jessica and I am a 31 years old looking to get healthy for my family but more importantly myself! The last 13 years I have ballooned in my weight for many reasons. My name is Jessica and I am a 31 years old looking to get healthy for my family but more importantly myself! The last 13 years I have ballooned in my weight for many reasons. These days I am a mess of emotions some good and some bad, but I am starting my life over. I am in my 30's and I am so over riding the backseat in life! I am a mother of a beautiful 8 year old daughter Gracie. I need to step up and be a positive role model and teach my daughter the healthy road. This page will be about my journey the good the bad and the very ugly. Buckle up it's going to be a bumpy ride!
The program that I am beginning is the 21 day fix. I am still going to use Sparkpeople to track my food and fitness, but I am using the fix to learn correct portion control and clean eating.
I am going to exercise for at least 30 minutes daily using both the 21 day fix workouts and Jillian Michaels videos. I will also be incorporating fun family activities into our daily routine to keep my family healthy.
"Many things are simply not going to happen with just one, or three, or even a dozen attempts. Yet anything becomes possible with enough persistence. Keep going, and allow your efforts to build upon one another. Keep going, and transform the disappointments into achievements. You have what it takes to keep going, because all it ever takes is just one more step forward. Keep going, and work your way steadily to the richest rewards you can imagine." -- Ralph Marston
Hope your week is going great, Spark friend! Keep taking those steps towards your goals. Never give up! As long as you keep going, you will succeed. You are always worth your best effort! Hugs, Pixie
Success is a Choice -Unknown "Today I will make many choices, and each will have a consequence. Today I can choose to tell myself that I am worth the effort, or I can tell myself doesn't matter, I'll do it tomorrow. Today I can choose to journal, or I can choose not to. Today I can choose to drink my water, or I can choose to be dehydrated. Today I can choose to stay in my points range, or I can choose to hinder my goals. Today I can choose to be more active, or I can choose to take the easy way. Today I can choose to be motivated, or I can choose to tell myself "I can't." Today I can choose success. IT IS MY CHOICE."
Stopping by to wish you a great week, Sparkfriend! Keep doing your best to reach your goals...its up to you, and you know you're worth the effort, right? Hugs, Pixie

"One of the most difficult parts of changing how you live and how you eat is believing that change is possible. We all say we believe that, but many of us, deep down in our hearts believe that it's possible for other people, but not for us. That other people can do it, that the glowy warm life we imagine is for other people, not for us. We have an unconscious belief that we can't do it, it's hopeless, and so, on some level, we stop making an effort. We lapse into the way it always was or is. But change really is possible. And it really does take a fierce kind of longing, and a fierce kind of love for yourself. For the life you know is possible. Ask yourself what you love most of all. Do you love your life? And are you willing to take action on your own behalf?" -Geneen Roth
TGIF, Sparkfriend! I hope your week was a good one and that you're ready for a fit, fun and fantastically healthy weekend! Keep your goals in mind and keep taking steps towards them. Remind yourself that you are capable...and love yourself enough to know that you are worth the effort! Hugs, Pixie
