Year Of Change

I am a mom of 4 great kids, ages 26,24,22 and 13. I lost my job in 20101 and went in to a year long depression. My weight topped at 250 pounds (yikes). In October 2011 I stopped feeling sorry for myself and started a journey that saved my life. Working on my last 12 pounds.

I reached my weight goal August 15, 2012. Now the challenge really begins.

6 weeks since I hit the *magic* number , no problems maintaining. Being active as well as eating low carb have become part of my lifestyle now. Sometimes I think I want to go a little lower in my weight, but I am a size 2 and an extra small, I don't want to fall into a dangerous place . My weight seems to stay within a pound either way of my goal without stressing over it so I found my happy place:)

"One of the most difficult parts of changing how you live and how you eat is believing that change is possible.
We all say we believe that, but many of us, deep down in our hearts believe that it's possible for other people, but not for us.
That other people can do it, that the glowy warm life we imagine is for other people, not for us.
We have an unconscious belief that we can't do it, it's hopeless, and so, on some level, we stop making an effort.
We lapse into the way it always was or is. But change really is possible.
And it really does take a fierce kind of longing, and a fierce kind of love for yourself.
For the life you know is possible. Ask yourself what you love most of all.
Do you love your life? And are you willing to take action on your own behalf?"

TGIF, Sparkfriend! I hope your week was a good one and that you're ready for a fit, fun and fantastically healthy weekend! Keep your goals in mind and keep taking steps towards them. Remind yourself that you are capable...and love yourself enough to know that you are worth the effort!
Hugs,
Pixie
