Starting Over, Yet Again

Remember that book that is in the self help aisle that Charlotte was looking for in the Sex in the City, "Starting Over... Yet Again"? Well, that's exactly how I feel. I did Sparkpeople in 2007-08 and lost 30 pounds. Since that time I've gained 40 (put the 30 back on plus an extra 10). Now that I have my work and home life balanced it's time to start focusing on ME again.

Why am I doing this?

I want to set a good example for my daughter, my family and my friends.
I want to look and feel good.
I want to use food and exercise to nourish my body and soul.
I want to lose as much of my dangerous belly fat as I can.

Where do I hope to be by the end of 2014?

Complete a half marathon (registered for Pgh Half Marathon on 5/4/2014).
Be at or near "normal" BMI.

Everything in moderation, plus lots of fresh fruits & veggies.

I think EVERYONE was elated when Rush made the Hall of Fame EXCEPT for perhaps the "Rolling Stones magazine" which for 40 years tried to deflate them. LOL

Oh, and because you LOVE that song, and you quoted Sex and the City, and because you and I seem to have similar goals I added you as a friend. Hope ya add me back !! :o)

I'm working on getting a bar stool today; I have a ways to go before I'll be capable of standing at my desk all the time, I have to have something to lean on! I'm probably going today to get something. :)

As for your comment on my feed, just a day; I plan on blogging it as I go along to share my experiences! I need to work on my posture. I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders, and though my desk is properly aligned, it's making them ache a bit.
