Tah-Dah! Some fun for the littlest this past summer. Mud is some fun stuff.

Like my "Strong Is The New Skinny" picture, this one is an inspiration. I'll curve like that again!

"Assume the attitude of prayer, and in time the attitude becomes the prayer."

I'm a 30 year old mother of three and my first weigh-in was 275 lbs. That was November 2011. When I first went through and set up my introduction text I had no idea how finding this site would impact my life.

I'm a 30 year old mother of three and my first weigh-in was 275 lbs. That was November 2011. When I first went through and set up my introduction text I had no idea how finding this site would impact my life.

More has changed than just the scale. The contents of my kitchen are unrecognisable, my husband and kids complain that I never have anything to 'snack on" in the house now, and I'm more likely to buy low calorie, whole grain bagels and low fat cream cheese than cookies, crackers, ding dongs, or candy even if I go to the grocery store hungry. I'm slowly changing everything I do. I'm even keeping my kitchen cleaner so there's no mess between me and the making of a healthy meal.

At first, I just wanted to lose some weight and be done with it. Now I can see the life I used to live when I was fit and healthy as something attainable and I'm beginning to live there now, not in some nebulous future, now. We go to the park just to throw balls and a Frisbee around, we all pack up and walk around the block just to walk, and even though my kids still complain about a lack of 'snack foods,' they're gobbling the fruit and veggies I keep on hand faster than I can restock the fridge.

If these are the changes two months have made, I'm excited to see what the New Year will bring.

***

It's February; and again, I'm reminded of how far I've come. I am doing things I've literally not done in a decade, and I'm enjoying them. My new motto for February, "Assume the attitude of prayer, and in time the attitude becomes the prayer."

I'm done waiting for the things I loved to come back, this month I'm going in search of them instead!

***

It's now March, and my motto for February has served me well. I'm going to continue with it through March. "Assume the attitude of prayer, and in time the attitude becomes the prayer."

Rather than sit and wait for my life to happen to me, I have a conscious effort to reclaim the things I loved when I was thin and to seek out new passions. I succeeded. I can't wait to see what I'll discover in March!

Ha-Ha-Ha!

Thanks for yesterday's "Like" and comment back on my feed. There's a lot to be said for staying "young at heart", but unfortunately, good eating habits isn't one of them (for me, anyway).

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE TRACKER WHEN I WAS TRYING TO MANUALLY ENTER SOMETHING UNDER "FAVORITES". IT DIDN'T STORE THEM AFTER THREE TRIES. VERY FRUSTRATING. THE OLD TRACKER WAS SO MUCH EASIER TO USE. THIS ONE IS FAR MORE SOPHISTICATED BUT MANY OF THE FEATURES ARE HARD TO FIGURE OUT.

I'm sorry if I misinterpreted your blog. I come from a big family as well and it is so hard to keep up with what is going on outside of your immediate relatives. Sometimes it takes a tragedy for families to reconnect. The good news is that although beaten up a bit, your uncle and his son survived and there is an opportunity to grow your relationship. Good luck to your family.

You're such an angel, thinking of me! I will try that mushroom recipe! I love them! Also, I do like almond milk, not as much as the soy vanilla or chocolate but if I have to make the move, I can do it. I refuse to allow my body to find other creative ways to slow me down! LOL

Oooh a pasta maker is on my wish list. But look, when you're kneading your semolina and cutting down super thin slices, you're working out your arms! (I tried making ravioli by hand once; I stuck to frozen.)
