The more help the better!!

My name is Ember. I am 32 and I am a stay at home mom. I have lost 27 pounds since the first of the year and I am hoping to lose another 20 or 25. I am just looking for tools that can keep me on track and help me to make real life changes that I can do forever!! I feel great and I am a total gym rat!!! I love my life and it is getting better everyday!!!!

My Goals:
Learn great eating habits and continue to workout harder everyday!! In turn, this will help me to be a better mom, a better wife and a better me!!!

My Program:
Currently I am eating a high protein diet. Lean meats, oatmeal, good fats...
I work out 6 days a week. Right now I am just starting a 12 week basketball strength and endurance program. I like to mimic the activities of people who I admire and I really admire the athletic body. Cardio includes running, elliptical, bike, jump rope and a lot of box jumps:)

Thank you for the gift. I wore them when I went to curves,today. I worked out for 45 min. My hands bearly hurt at all. I hope you are enjoying the unsettled day. Did you watch the lightening storm. I was watching but I saw some kinda close boy did I scurry right back into the house. Thank yu again emoticon

just checking to see how you're doing today?
Spent the morning at the peditrician's- Andrew has another double ear infection! My poor little guy. Tough weekend- practically no sleep for either of us. He got a new antibiotic today so here's hoping he gets some relief ASAP!

As far as eating when bored, I used to have that problem when I worked- with all the goodies everyone brought in. Now, my little guy is so active, most of the time I don't even get to finish my meals.... One thing I do if I'm bored & feeling like I'm going to eat & it's not something I really want, I brush my teeth! I know it sounds really silly, but the mint taste ¬ being able to eat for 30 minutes) gives you the time to divert your attention to something else. Also, I try not to keep too much junk food (a little's okay) in the house. I think it helps that when I turned 30, Iturned vegetarian so I eat tons of food- but fruits, veggies & seafood don''t have too many calories. I'm also addicted to coffee- so I try to make iced coffees at home for when I'm bored but need something- only about 20-30 calories. If I really want something I'll splurge a little, because if i don't i keep eating because i'm never satisfied.

Oh, yes. My toddler is a boy- he's 3 years old named Andrew. He's my only one. I had a miscarriage 2 weeks before becoming pregnant with him, so he is a real treasure to me. I would LOVE to have another one, just don't know if I have the patience and stamina to do it. I just came off depression meds, so I guess we'll see how things are going in a few months. Plus my little guy starts preschool in Sept.

Our gym does have daycare, but they have to be 3 and he did turn 3 on 1/31- so I guess I don't have any excuses. Maybe I'll give it a try again.... Right now we started walking again - at least 1-2 hours a day and when I get off line tonight I'll atleast 500 crunches and some leg work....not much but every little bit helps.

You look FANTASTIC already! I wish I had your secrets emoticon

I need to get more pictures taken; my camera card seized up & I can't access all the photos stored on it. I just did my page yesterday; so hopefully this weekend I can get a few pictures but I guarantee they won't be anywhere near as flattering as yours yet!!

Here's to a great start and hopefully bikini ready by june/july!
