Fit and Healthy for Life

Have you ever been so close to a goal, but just couldn't get past the last hurdle? Seen the end in sight, but just couldn't reach it? Talk about frustration! Well, that is where I am at right now. So close to my goal, 13 pounds away to be exact. I've tried everything from changing up my workout, to no carbs, etc. Am I not pushing myself hard enough in my workouts? Is there something in my diet I am missing that is sabotoging my efforts?

My goal in joining SparkPeople is to find motivation as well as give motivation, find information as well as share information.

Weight goal: 13 pounds by June 15, 2011
Diet goal: Finding new healthy recipes
Exercise goal: At least 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my page! I hope you do get a chance to try out some recipes-- I really love to cook/bake, and I always enjoy hearing from friends who try the things I share!

Sorry to see you're feeling unmotivated. Use the resources here to pump yourself up! Read articles, browse the motivational members sparkpages, and journal your thoughts (if you like doing that- like I do!). Be compassionate and forgiving with yourself-- think of how you'd treat a good friend in need, and give yourself the same love and understanding and pep-talk you'd lend to your friend. We can only achieve what we truly set our minds to DO. So shake off the frustration, look at yourself in the mirror, and say (aloud) to yourself, "I CAN do this, and I AM worth the effort."
