I was a bit of a late bloomer when it came to fitness and exercise, not realizing until my late 20's how much I enjoyed being active. I ran, swam, cycled and lifted weights almost every day for 2 decades. That's why it was hard for me to come to terms with being 25lbs overweight. I am so active...how is that possible?

So with my 50th birthday looming, I decided to take a good honest look at my lifestyle, change my eating habits and lose the weight. After 2 years and slow steady ...

I ran, swam, cycled and lifted weights almost every day for 2 decades. That's why it was hard for me to come to terms with being 25lbs overweight. I am so active...how is that possible?

So with my 50th birthday looming, I decided to take a good honest look at my lifestyle, change my eating habits and lose the weight. After 2 years and slow steady baby steps, I've finally developed better eating and sleeping habits. I've lost most of the weight but there have been a lot of ups and downs. My new lifestyle is still about staying very active but it's also about creating and maintaining routines that make eating much easier and enjoyable, regardless of the changes and chaos I might encounter on any given day.

My Goals:
Lose 10 lbs in 2013.
Eat clean
Stay within my SP
Eat plenty of protein
Watch the carbs
Plan meals ahead

Get moving- physical activity everyday.






My Program:
Make a plan and stick to it!!

Sleep 7-8 hours a night
Exercise: running 4 x per week 3-6 miles or biking

Circuit training 4x week
Yoga 1-2 times per week

Plan and commit to meals in advance

Focus on what I do well everyday. Examine slip-ups and make a plan of action for next time.

Other Information:
Plan, organize, and prepare Then just follow the road ahead.
