I was a bit of a late bloomer when it came to fitness and exercise, not realizing until my late 20's how much I enjoyed being active. I loved intense exercise. I ran, swam, cycled and lifted weights almost every day for 2 decades. That's why it was hard for me to come to terms when the scale showed I had gained 25lbs. I was so active...how is that possible? I joined SP, had a little success but it was short-lived because I wasn't willing to change my habits for the long term.

Eventually, with a big milestone birthday looming, I decided to take a good honest look at my lifestyle, change my eating habits and lose the weight. It took more than 2 years of slow steady baby steps but I did it!! Along the way, I gained healthier habits and learned a lot about myself. I've learned to enjoy yoga and walking in addition to cardio and strength training.

The support and information on SP has been invaluable on this journey.
