I was a bit of a late bloomer when it came to fitness and exercise, not realizing until my late 20's how much I enjoyed being active. I loved intense exercise. I ran, swam, cycled and lifted weights almost every day for 2 decades. That's why it was hard for me to come to terms when the scale showed I had gained 25lbs. I was so is that possible? I joined SP, had a little success but it was short-lived because I wasn't willing to change my habits for the long term.

Eventually, with a big milestone birthday looming, I decided to take a good honest look at my lifestyle, change my eating habits and lose the weight. It took more than 2 years of slow steady baby steps but I did it!! Along the way, I gained healthier habits and learned a lot about myself. I've learned to enjoy yoga and walking in addition to cardio and strength training.

The support and information on SP has been invaluable on this journey.

My Goals:
Lose 10 lbs in 2013.
Eat clean
Stay within my SP
Eat plenty of protein
Watch the carbs
Plan meals ahead

Get moving- physical activity everyday.

My Program:
Make a plan and stick to it!!

Sleep 7-8 hours a night
Exercise: running 4 x per week 3-6 miles or biking

Circuit training 4x week
Yoga 1-2 times per week

Plan and commit to meals in advance

Focus on what I do well everyday. Examine slip-ups and make a plan of action for next time.
