emoticon Thanks for your comments on my blog. I appreciate them. You are so right about women being socialized to being indirect and concerned about hurting others' feelings.

I had a big issue that came to a head last week. I have some business opportunities that require a new web site with a shopping cart. After interviewing quite a few designers I hired someone that I have known for several years. She put in writing what she planned to give me with the prices. We signed the contract around 7/1. By last Monday she did not send me one single deliverable. From a logo to a complets shopping cart--she sent nothing. When i would call to follow up she would say how busy she is. When I wanted to meet she had some excuse.

Finally, I wrote and told her that this is not working out. I have accepted that she lied. There is no other word for it. Now, as I'm withdrawing from our contact, she came back with an offer of some free services and a promise to launch next week. I realized that she is still lying. There is no way we could possibly launch in one week when I haven't even approved a new logo! She gave me health excuses for her failure to send anything.

However, I realize it's all a lie. I have to wrap my brain around that. it got to me for a while, but other friends have sent me designers. I have interviewed so many that I need my full brain to concentrate on a new designer so I can't dwell on this deception.

Enough about me. Please fill me in with how you're doing. I know that you said that you gained six pounds. Good luck in turning that around. Keep me in the loop. I know you can take off those six pounds and more! Just give yourself a chance.

Best,

Merry

emoticon so much for your comments on my guest blog. I am very flattered that you will save it to your hard drive. I would be happy to make suggestions for you specifically.

One of the world's most beautiful women, Sophia Loren, is famous for making the comment,"Don't fix your nose. Learn how to make up your eyes". That's not to say that you have to become a makeup artist, but depending upon how important it is to you, you could learn a few tricks and I would be happy to help you. Just say the word.

Again, thanks so much. I appreciate you feedback.

Best,

Merry

emoticon so much for your comments on my blog. I have become so busy, in a good way, that I am forced to manage my time optimally. The more routine things I can manage automatically, the more IQ points and time I can devote to the more challenging stuff.

Yes, I am finding that structure is one of the most important aspects that contributes to success. I know that I have avoided it in order not to feel "trapped". However, I have discovered that it is actually freeing because it eliminates doubt and daily invention of the wheel. In the end, if some aspect doesn't work we can change it.

Your winter schedule IS a bit beyond my parameters. I can't believe you woke up at that hour. You are dedicated. Good luck setting up your new structure. Let me know how it's going for you.

Best,

Merry/Sparkenista
