The Journey Continues...

I have lost nearly 24 pounds on my journey so far and what a difference that has made in my life! I have a whole lot more energy, I can physically do things that the weight had made difficult, and I have had a fantastic excuse to update my wardrobe. My journey has caused my husband and children to make healthier choices as well. The journey continues, but I can honestly say I enjoy the travel a lot more now.

Thanks for commenting on my blog! My hubby and I usually manage to walk almost every morning, but without my treadmill running, I'm afraid it isn't enough. Especially since we usually eat more than usual at the same time. I am looking forward to my visit in my hometown (especially since we will be there for the annual Sweet Corn Festival!)

Wishing you a Happy Resurrection (Easter) Sunday!

John 3:16
God so loved the world that He gave His only son.
And he who believes in him (Jesus) shall not perish
but have everlasting life!

The Spirit of the Mighty Lord is upon us because
He has anointed us to preach this Good News!

Love,
Vera

LOL. About that definition of a "healthy" BMI - I know that below 30 it can depend a lot on body composition, so to be safe I like to tell people to just get under 30.

For whatever stupid reason I have been holding myself to a different standard and finally realized that my advice is sound and that I should take it, too! LOL

Having said that, I do want to see if I can get back down to where I was last year, at 17-19% body fat, which corresponded to between 150 and 155 lbs.

Once I get there I'd like to see if I can maintain it. But honestly this is just to improve athletic performance and not necessary for just life. So if it's too hard to sustain, I'll bump my expectations back up to something I can do...
