HERE'S A LITTLE BACKGROUND INFORMATION ABOUT ME AND WHY I'M ON SP:

I'm 34 and I've been married to my best friend since 11/13/04- every day since then has been a gift. Our precious little boy joined our family on 04/27/09, and our darling little girl joined our family on 05/18/12; I am constantly amazed by the blessings that God has granted me.

The first time around, I wanted to lose weight for various reasons: I have a family history on both sides of diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure, so being fit is important for me to be able to work against those hereditary issues; I wanted to feel good about how I looked; and my husband and I hoped to have a baby in the near future, so I thought that getting my body into shape before a baby would help with a smooth pregnancy and post-partum transition.

Well, I did it! I had just made my goal when we learned we were expecting a baby! I hadn't quite mastered maintenance, but I didn't mind... we were having a baby!

And then I came back for take two... losing the baby weight! I came back and lost most of that baby weight (and learned to love outdoor running with my new "fitness buddy" in his jogging stroller!). I was a fit mom!

And then I was pregnant AGAIN!

So here I am for take three... losing the baby weight the second time around. Actually... it's not baby weight anymore. My "baby" just turned three! I know that being a mama of two with a very demanding full-time job is a real struggle, but I also realized that I was making excuses... so NO MORE EXCUSES. I WILL lose that second-baby weight and continue to stay healthy for my kids, my hubby, and myself! I want my kids to see me being active, and I want to enjoy being active with them for many years to come!

My Goals:
*Trying to find "me" time to FIRM or run five or six times per week- being a working mom of two is harder than I ever imagined!

*Trying to be balanced and leave more work at work!




My Program:
*Sticking to my calorie range every day.


*Drinking AT LEAST 64 oz. of WATER per day (in addition to other liquids).


*Working out using The FIRM three to four days per week and running one to three days per week (OR working out using the FIRM five to six days per week, depending on if anyone can hang out with my littles while I go jogging).


*Doing yoga or stress-relief meditation one day per week.
