Detour from plan made below. Forgot to update my page that we are expecting our first baby in August of 2013. For now the plan is stay active with mild/moderate exercise, lift light weights, eat healthfully, drink lots of water, listen to my body, and enjoy pregnancy! So far I have been meeting these goals consistently & I hope to do so throughout the next few months!

I love to exercise, eat healthy, and feel great... ok, so I don't really love to sweat and sometimes I would rather have ice cream than broccoli, but I DO love to feel great and so it is all worth it!
I am a 24 year old girl, married to the most amazing man who is the love of my life since June 2009. I LOVE my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ with all of my heart! I am a pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit nurse (aka, I take care of kids with serious heart problems). I am the oldest of five children, the perfectionist, "Type A," sometimes way too OCD type personality. My clothes closet is organized by color, spice cabinet is alphabetized, etc. However, I leave the house in semi-wrinkled clothes at times because I don't particularly enjoy ironing. I have a wonderful family, amazing friends & am so blessed to live my life!
I have never been considered "overweight," but I have always had a ridiculous sweet tooth. If it has sugar in it, I want to eat it!!
I was raised eating pretty healthy. Lots of fruits & veggies every day, wheat bread, sweets were a treat, always trying new healthy foods, etc. I've always enjoyed eating healthy foods as long as nothing got in the way of my sweets addiction! Until I was 15 years old I was a bean pole, teeny-tiny-skinny-mini & could eat whatever I wanted to without it affecting my weight.
Well, Easter of 2003 rolled around and in the post-Easter sale my mom bought a LOT of chocolate covered marshmallow bunnies. Over a few weeks time I ate almost ALL of those marshmallow bunnies and not long after that I started noticing that my clothes were getting tighter. I didn't really care, nor was I paying attention to my weight or my health, but looking back at pictures I can see that I did gain (and besides that I was in the awkward "square shaped body" stage).
I continued to gain a little here and a little there without caring (not sure the exact amount, but I went from about 110 to about 125-130ish I would say), but when the summer before my senior year of high school rolled around in 2005, I started caring... A LOT. I decided to do something about it, but not in a healthy manner. I didn't cut out the junk or up the fruits & veggies, instead I pretty much brought my nutrition to a halt & stopped eating all together. I would eat little bits here and there, but when I did eat, I ate sweets. In January of 2006 I started caring even MORE about my weight, wanting so badly to look amazing in my senior prom dress. My best friend & I got up 3-5 times a week and walked around the community track for a few hours, but I was still not eating enough. By prom time, I weighed 118 lbs and looked great, but I wasn't treating my body right. I continued to struggle throughout the next couple of years, until I just got burnt out on always being hungry and weighing myself, so once again I stopped caring.
My sophomore spring-junior fall of college I ate what I wanted & didn't care. I was in nursing school & "didn't have time" to pay attention. My hubby proposed October 10, 2008 & we set the wedding date for June 20, 2009. The week after Christmas of 2008 I looked in the mirror and realized that at 135 lbs I weighed the most I had ever weighed, my belly flopped over my jeans, and I just felt rotten all around. It was time to do something and this time I needed to do it right! As a nursing student, I now had the knowledge of what it meant to lose weight the RIGHT way! I googled healthy weight loss, found SPARK PEOPLE, and started my journey to REAL health & REAL lifestyle change. No more crash diet just to lose a few lbs and then eat it all back in days!
I joined a local gym, started exercising 2-4 times a week for 1-2 hours each time, watched what I ate & ate healthy, weighed myself a few times a week for accountability & and by my wedding I had lost almost 12 lbs and weighed a healthy 123 lbs!
After I got married, I kept trying to eat right, weigh for accountability, etc. but my exercise regimen went out the window because between balancing my senior year of nursing school & my new marriage, it was all I could do to stay afloat! I graduated nursing school in May of 2010 & my hubby and I went on a beach vacation in August, 2010. It was a few weeks before vacation that I realized I had gained 8 lbs in that last year & I wanted them back off! So, once again I came back to SP!
Eating right & exercising makes me feel SO much better and my life feels much more balanced. I really want this way of living to be MY way of living, not just for a few months or a year, but for my LIFE! The journey never ends, the scenery and seasons just changes as we walk through the paths of life.
Current Goal: Project LiveFit vs. 2.0!
Cardio 3-6 days/week, ST 4-6 days/week, stretch, stay hydrated, eat whole/real foods 90% of the time, organic as much as possible, minimize all around chemical exposure in home & body, 7-8+ hours sleep every night.

- change to using most (if not all) natural products (hair, face, body, household, cooking, etc.)
PREVIOUS GOAL SUCCESSES:
Goal: 8/14/10 - lose 10 lbs in 4 months by Christmas 2010
Outcome: 12/18/10 - lost 9 lbs in 4 months!
Goal: 12/28/08 - lose 10 lbs by wedding on 6/20/09
Outcome: 6/20/09 - lost 11 lbs
