I'm in the normal BMI, but I'm 7 pounds overweight for ME!
I live in a rural area and own twelve dairy goats. We are currently milking four of them. The milk goes to three bottle kids and to the house for family use and cheesemaking.
I make chevre, cheddar, fromage blanc, Swiss, and I just started a wheel of Gouda.
In my photo, you see an orphan lamb and miniature goat that we fostered for a month. They did great on goat milk!
I am a retired high school teacher, and now I manage rental properties.
1. I need to exercise every day.
2. I need to control my evening snacking.
3. I need to eat fruit every day.

hoping for some positive results................ like you - I only have about 10-15 pounds to lose - but mine is all belly fat and the usual inches around the hips and thighs.

I just saw your post on the "How do you make exercise more enjoyable" thread, and I laughed out loud. I too listen to audio books on my Creative Zen MP3! It keeps me going because I want to know what happens next!

Hey Alice, I'm back on Sparkpeople! I'm really using the nutrition tracker this time and last week I lost 6 lbs!!! Wow! I cut out the sugar, basically. I'm weighing once a week, on Sundays.
So, I'm really gung ho to keep it up! I am starting to swim with Cecile over at 24 hr fitness. I joined today. We are swimming for the first time tomorrow. WhooHoo! :-) I know I need to do more than swim twice a week, so I"m going to try to go over there and walk on the elliptical or the treadmill as well.

I'm pretty new at this myself, but wanted to let you know that it's o.k. to just jump right in and play, i.e. "click. click. click". It's how I have been learning my way around. So far I have encountered only splendid, encouraging and helpful people. I hope you try isometric exercise, it's perfect for adults with mobility issues, chronic pain, have been sedentary for a while, or who tire easily. Yet even if you're at the top of your game, isometrics can give you the added edge towards meeting your goals, even if that is finishing a triathlon!
