GET FIT (and Get Food SMART)

I am really keen to lose a little bit of weight and to gain my figure back that I had when I first met my husband. Since having 2 children, things have got a bit less toned and the tummy is not something that I would show in a bikini anymore. So would love to tone up, get some muscle shaping back and to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

3 weeks after the start of my new diet plan (Low GI and Low Fat) I have already lost 5kg's. I am amazed at how well I am feeling and how much ...

3 weeks after the start of my new diet plan (Low GI and Low Fat) I have already lost 5kg's. I am amazed at how well I am feeling and how much more energy I have. My clothes are already looser and my tummy just a little flatter. I am not hungry in between meals and haven't been feeling the need to snack. Half way there - hope the last half is as good as the first.

5 months on - I have never quite made it down to my goal weight as I have replaced some of my fat with muscle. I have had to buy a whole lot of new clothes though as I have dropped almost 2 sizes. The gym is a must have in my week and I am now in training for a womens's duathlon in April. My current fitness would allow me to complete the duathlon without additional work however I want to actually be competitve so am working on endurance and speed. I have learnt so much about nutrition and really enjoy the research and analysis side of it. I also have a renewed interest in tramping and am planning on completing a few of them over this coming year.

My Goals:
Main goal is to lose 10kg before a friends wedding in Sydney in early November

I also want to gain back my muscle tone and the 6-pack abs I had before my kids. I used to have a very athletic figure and would love to look that way again

My Program:
Daily Calorie goal between 1200 - 1500

Cardio training twice a week and strength/weight training twice a week
