One Down, One to Go!

6-19-2010: Have gained back a couple pounds over the past 4 months, but am still in the merely overweight BMI range, so no major harm done. I've been struggling for the last month trying to get my head back with the program. Hoping I'm finally re-engaged! My next goal is to reach 175 pounds, and I've set a reward for myself when I get there. Here goes!

2-16-2010: I've lost 60 pounds in the 8 months I've been on Spark People, and I have reached my first major goal: to get out of the "obese" BMI category, and reach what I weighed on my wedding day 20+ years ago, 189 pounds. My second major goal is to get into the "healthy" BMI range, and I am setting 145 pounds as my goal weight, which is at the middle of the healthy range for my height. I can't remember EVER weighing that little, so the prospect is exciting.

My Goals:
Lose weight to get healthy and more energized, so I can respond to a call God has placed on me. I have already gotten my weight down to where my BMI is out of the dreaded "obese" range - onward to healthy!

My Program:
My program is to follow the principals of the Spark Diet. I use the on-line tools to track nutrition and exercise and to find motivation and support. Still struggling to get modest exercise included as a regular part of my lifestyle, but every little step helps, right?! :)

Personal Information:
I'm 45 years old and 5'8" tall. I've been married to my hubby since 1988, and we have two teens - one off to college and one in high school. I live in Virginia, but am a Pennsylvania girl at heart.

Other Information:
My Goals:
235 (15 lbs): pedicure - DONE!
220 (30 lbs): corn maze - DONE!
205 (45 lbs): Dancing w/R - DONE!
189 (61 lbs): no longer obese, a reward in and of itself! - DONE!
175 (75 lbs): Pedicure
160 (90 lbs): TBD [in healthy weight range! yeah]
145 (105 lbs): a new way of life. Thanks, Sparkpeople!

You look wonderful. You should be very proud of yourself. I've gotten sloppy and forgotten to be careful about what I eat. I've just gotten so busy that it makes it hard. But after seeing you and with your kind words, I think that I shall take the time to work harder at this again. I haven't gained any weight, but I haven't lost any either. So here we go again.
