Accepting Obesity

I've always been overweight. My highest was 280. The weight just kinda crept up on me until I was unhappy with it.

I've had feeble attempts at losing weight before, and can probably say my current attempt is not much better...only it's getting results this time.

I think I had to accept my obesity before I could do this. So if I didn't lose weight, I would be OK with it....that I would just accept it as part of who I am.

Happily married in beautiful Vermont (St.J). We're childfree and share our lives with 2 cats. I love to read, write, walk, spend time with family, be online, etc., etc....

Other Information:
I don't smoke and can be vehemently against smoking.

I can't drink alcohol.

And I don't do drugs.

I'd say your attempt at weight loss has been pretty successful. Congrats! Thanks for the advice about the pedometer. I didn't have one. If I don't come up with a better suggestion, I'll just give myself credit for half walking time. Seems fair.
