Lose the weight, control the anxiety, lose the stress

What about me? I'm 24, a vegetarian since I was 15, and I have been overweight since my parents got divorced in middle school. According to the BMI, I used to be borderline obese but now I fluctuate around the normal/overweight line. I want to make myself truly healthy for the first time since I was a little kid.

Vision statement:

My goals are to lose 38lbs, and then maintain a general weight of 130lbs for life, to be physically fit and healthy, and to manage my mental health through healthy living. I want to create a full and balanced life, full of love, security, confidence, adventure, and success. I want a long, happy life with Matt. I want be a great role model for my family. I want to have a healthy body to build a healthy baby. I want a healthy mind so I no longer feel imprisoned by it. I want to create balance and routine, not to be boring but to create pride and fulfillment. I will make healthy choices. I will meal plan. I will sleep. I will exercise. I will journal, make lists, and write schedule. I will be a better ME!

My Goals:
Lose 38lbs by my birthday in June 2015.

Get enough sleep, eat well, and exercise often in order to control and reduce my anxiety. This is what the doctor told me.

Take the necessary steps to reduce my stress, and consequently, my stress induced rage.

My Program:
For now, I'm trying to get in at least 10 minutes of activity a day.

For diet, I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian, which is big. I try to eat a balanced diet according to the Canadian Food Guide, while hitting the calorie and nutritional targets SP has set out for me.

My name is Meisha, I'm from Saskatchewan, Canada. I work as a receptionist for a local granite importer. I went to college for audio production and recording, but didn't finish the program. I'm looking into dental assistant programs now.

Other Information:
I am an intersectional feminist, a humanist, an atheistic agnostic, and generally anti-oppression. I care about people. I believe in the constant process of unlearning, and in checking my privilege, and other people's privilege.

I'm also really into comedy. And Game of Thrones. And Beyonce.

Just wanted to thank you for the comment on my blog! Weekends can be tough, I can totally relate to what you said. Things just snowball ("I'll just have a slice of pizza" - yeah, right) and before I know it I've gone way over my calories. But it's a process, it happens sometimes and it's okay, I think.
