Determined and Motivated!

Well, where do I even start? I am 34yrs old, I have been married for 15yrs. I have 2 children, both boys. My oldest is 16yrs old and my youngest is 9yrs old. I have pretty much struggled with my weight since high school. After graduating, and having my first child, I gained all that baby weight and never was able to take it off. Then the 7 years in between having my 2nd child, I didn't take time out for myself and just gained more weight. I tried "diets" and of course they worked for a ...
Well, where do I even start? I am 34yrs old, I have been married for 15yrs. I have 2 children, both boys. My oldest is 16yrs old and my youngest is 9yrs old. I have pretty much struggled with my weight since high school. After graduating, and having my first child, I gained all that baby weight and never was able to take it off. Then the 7 years in between having my 2nd child, I didn't take time out for myself and just gained more weight. I tried "diets" and of course they worked for a while, but then like everyone else, I fell off the wagon at Thanksgiving and just couldn't get back on. So, then more years went by and more weight came as well. Then, the best thing happened, the tv show, The Biggest Loser came and I have been watching it since the first season. I am truly inspired by the people that have been on that show. I love both the trainers, Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels. My goal was to audition for the show because I thought that was the only way to get myself on the right track and lose all this weight. However, I found out that I can do that right here in my own home. I started the New Year off with not another diet, but a lifestyle change. At the beginning of January I weighed in at 248LBS. With starting to eat healthier and change what was normal for me, I have lost 16LBS. So with that, my starting weight when I started on SparkPeople was 238LBS. I have since, started walking and jogging on my treadmill. I do 2 miles almost everyday. If not everyday, I am on it at least 5 out of the 7.

My short term goal is to get to 216lbs by April. I have lots of work to do to get myself where I need to be by then. I know with support through here and at home, I will not struggle as much as I would normally struggle with losing weight! My overall goal is to lose 123LBS.

I am pretty new to SparkPeople, so I will need much help, support and motivation. I believe that this time everything will be great and I will make it to my goal weight of 125LBS. I want to be around to watch my kids grow up and get married and have kids of their own. Oh, and did I mention my husband has given me a even bigger motivator? He has offered to pay me $10 for every pound I lose! I can take the money and do whatever I would like with it when I reach my goal. I have been buying new clothes with my first $160, seeing that things are starting to not fit anymore and I need smaller sizes!!! I am determined to make this lifestyle change and lose the weight I need to lose in order to be at a healthy level.

My Goals:
My main goal is to just keep on this road of a healthy lifestyle. My second goal is to lose a total of 123LBS. I know with the right support system I can do this!

My Program:
Like I said, I am not on a "diet" it is a lifestyle change. I have started eating healthier and exercising. I love walking and jogging on my treadmill. I have an elliptical machine, but have not begun to put that in my exercise routine. My motto, "One machine at a time!"
