Feelin Flabby, but Doing Something About It!

I'm a wife, mother, homemaker and student. I'm trying to find time for me. I let myself go after I separated from the Air Force six years ago. But now I'm ready to change the way I live. I plan to change my weight, my outlook and my life. I'm new to this site, so bare with me while I work on my page.

My Goals:
My short term goal is to change the way I eat and to incorporate exercise into my daily life. I would like to lose 2lbs. a week.
My long term goal is to lose 35-40 lbs. Time is not an issue, it took six years to get this way, so I don't expect to lose the weight overnight.

My Program:
I'm doing the Abs Diet (by David Zinczenko) it's based on 12 power foods and I hesitate to call it a "diet" because it's more of a life style change.

Married for 16 years to my highschool honey.
I have a 12 year old son (the light of my life:-)
I'm from Michigan, but have lived in Texas and Alaska
I'm an Accounting student and a homemaker

Other Information:
I like TV and hate exercise
(so I have a lot to overcome to make this work.)
I love all kinds of movies and music.
Most recent movie that I've watched: Goodnight and Goodluck.
I'm a big fan of Creed (Scott Stapp), Heart, Led Zeppelin, Alice Peacock, Joss Stone, Anything Motown, and much, much more.

Just checking in to see how everything is going....i am doing alright...i could be doing better!!!!!! i am not weighing in until tomorrow..so we will see!! i feel better but i really want the scale to go down!!!!!!

No problem at all!!!! About the hike..i went with my aunt and 13 year old cousin..i complained the whole way up....i wanted to turn around so many times!! you would turn one corner and it would be straight up..it was a 12 hour hike, about 7 to get up and 5 to get down, but i am happy that i did it, because now i can say that i did!!!

Good luck on the weight loss.....5lbs lost already thats great..i hope i have good progress next week!!!!!!
