After losing a significant amount of weight over the last two years, I have finally figured it out!!
1. MOVE - as much as possible in any way imaginable
2. CROSS TRAIN - Don't get bored, it is easier to make excuses
3. LISTEN - to your body (just make sure it is not telling you lies)
4. EAT- Starving yourself will not work
5. PRIORITIZE - Put yourself first!!!
6. SKINNY COW - Always keep some on hand :)

I turned 32 on July 28th, the day after I complete my first triathlon. Two years ago I turned 30 and realized that I needed to make a few "adjustments" so I could enjoy my life with my husband and two children. I went back to school and graduated this past May, I lost 100 pounds, I quit smoking, and I started moving my body everyday. I was also born with a club foot which I used as an excuse most of my life. I went through two months of physical therapy this past May/June and recently started running for the first time in my life!
I want to show my children how important physical activity is and I want to show my daughter that women are strong, capable, and determined; we can achieve anything that we desire.
It has been a slow and steady process and I still have some work left to do, but I know I will eventually get there because I am an endurance athlete!

My Program:
Besides swimming, biking, and running, I take a yoga class once a week, try to hit the weights two times a week, and I spend as much time outside as possible with my family.

I eat when I am hungry and I stop when I am full. It took me a long time to figure out how that was supposed to work and even though it sounds simple, it is truly one of the hardest things I have learned to do.



Personal Information:
I am from SE Michigan and moved to Toledo in 1998 because it was cheaper and the love of my life lived in BG so we split the difference!

I have a tendency to get caught up in the drama of my own life and I focus on the details of what is not going right, rather than every thing that is going great!!

I am a wife, mother, best friend, regional manager, student, passionate music lover, amateur photographer, political junkie, new health nut, closet economist, avid sports fan, very liberal non-theist, and a history/government buff! That about sums me up, and as I look it over, I do not come off as very exciting at all!
