I joined SparkPeople in January of 2009 when I decided enough was enough. I was really doing it for a while, and by July 2009 I had lost 40 pounds! But then life got crazy and I totally fell off the wagon. From July 2009 to January 2010 I gained back almost 20 pounds. I am going to add some 5 lb goals to keep me motivated and get back on track. My history and habits make it hard to think of rewards that aren't food related! My life has always been about food - ice cream when I was depressed, a fancy dinner to celebrate an achievement. I need to come up with new ways to motivate, reward and comfort myself. and I think this time I can do it! My goal for right now is to be at 235 lbs by my Birthday in July. Eventually I'd love to be 185 lbs. I can't remember ever being under 200 lbs. I'm nervous, but excited.

I want to eventually lose 120 pounds. I want to look better, feel better and get stronger. I want to be able to walk into a store and buy clothes without searching for the "big girl" sizes. I want to improve my golf game and get skinny enough to have a rib-cage tattoo!
I am trying to increase my workouts from 4 days a week to 5 or 6. My go-to cardio is the elliptical, but I'm trying to switch it up with the bike, rowing machine and treadmill. I am really bad about strength training, but I'm trying to add weights into my routine 2 days a week. I am trying to get back in the habit of tracking all my food, and really taking advantage of all SP has to offer. Of course, the most important part is my motivation coach, and BFF Courtney!
I'm Gypsy, a karaoke host from Ypsilanti, MI. I have a great job, a great home, awesome family and friends. The only thing missing in my life is confidence!! I love to cook (and eat), watch movies, read and watch reality TV. I have a million hobbies, and I'm trying to make working out one of them.
