Weighed 230 lbs in November 2011. Weighed 140 in April 2013. Lost 70 lbs from November 2011 to November 2012. Hit goal of 90 lbs lost on April 16, 2013. Celebrated one year of maintenance on April 16, 2014. Fell down between November 2013 and October 2015 and gained back 40 pounds. Trying to get back on the wagon.
Did it all on my own: no fad diets, no paid programs, no nutritionist, no personal trainer! All done with food lifestyle changes, and I took up running in July 2012.
Have run several 5Ks, race PR is 26:23.5. 10K PR is 57:43. First 15K was in August 2013 with a 1:34:25. I ran my first half marathon in October 2013 and, despite recovering from an injury, finished in 2:42:34.
I'm a 30-year-old professional meeting planner and live just outside of Chicago. I''m also a grad student, getting a master's in sports administration.
I fancy myself a "real" runner and religiously devour Runner's World and Women's Running (and usually Women's Health and Shape) magazines monthly! I blog at http://www.fatgirlrunn.com

Maintain. Run a 5K in under 26 minutes. Finish a half marathon in under 2:15.
