Ready to Bust Some Fat

(Updated August 5, 2012)
Hi, I'm Mary, 45 years young, a work-from-home mom of one daughter, and as of 2013, also a homeschooler. I've struggled with being overweight since my early 20s. When I first found Sparkpeople, I lost 25 lbs. Unfortunately, through a series of events, I gained all of it back and then some. Now I'm working to lose that back once again and get to my goal weight. Changing lifelong poor eating habits is not easy, but I refuse to give up! :)

"Sometimes victory seems so far away because we measure it only by the goal. And end goals can seem overwhelmingly huge, daunting, and just plain hard to reach. But if we start measuring our victories by the smaller choices we make each day, victory won't seem so impossible.....
It's amazing the chain reaction that can start in your life with just one good choice.
Big things are built one brick at a time.
Victories are achieved one choice at a time.
A life well lived is chosen one day at a time.
Oh sweet friend, you are closer than you think to victory!"

Be your own hero, one choice and one step at a time! You might not see visible signs of progress right away, but as long as you keep doing your best, you will make progress and you will be victorious! I'm rooting for you! Remember, you're worth your best effort!
Hugs,
Pixie

Hmm.. maybe. All that hard work :)

I find it very frustrating when I get an injury or there's a certain part of my body that is "off" but instead of letting that take me down, I just work around it! Again, hope your foot feels better soon!

Hope your foot feels better soon! I have to say I love the workouts in both programs, but I'm more of a strength gal. emoticon So far, my favorite program is Focus T25. However, when P90X 3 comes out, that may change!

Does your foot act up when you do too much with it or does the pain come and go randomly?

"One of the most difficult parts of changing how you live and how you eat is believing that change is possible.
We all say we believe that, but many of us, deep down in our hearts believe that it's possible for other people, but not for us.
That other people can do it, that the glowy warm life we imagine is for other people, not for us.
We have an unconscious belief that we can't do it, it's hopeless, and so, on some level, we stop making an effort.
We lapse into the way it always was or is. But change really is possible.
And it really does take a fierce kind of longing, and a fierce kind of love for yourself.
For the life you know is possible. Ask yourself what you love most of all.
Do you love your life? And are you willing to take action on your own behalf?"

TGIF, Sparkfriend! I hope your week was a good one and that you're ready for a fit, fun and fantastically healthy weekend! Keep your goals in mind and keep taking steps towards them. Remind yourself that you are capable...and love yourself enough to know that you are worth the effort!
Hugs,
Pixie

"Whenever you make a mistake or get knocked down by life, don't look back at it too long.
Mistakes are life's way of teaching you. Your capacity for occasional blunders is inseparable from your capacity to reach your goals.
No one wins them all, and your failures, when they happen, are just part of your growth. Shake off your blunders.
How will you know your limits without an occasional failure? Never quit. Your turn will come."

Just stopping by to wish you a healthy week, Spark friend! If you fall down, get back up and keep pushing forward. I hope you know that you're always worth your best effort...because you really are!
