2010: 56 now-Could 6 years have really passed since I began this journey? After health struggles, I am feeling great! Have to be careful, but so worth it! I love a challenge and now I can continue that hobby. Sometimes I think the adventure is just beginning! I'm a Christian wife of the most wonderful man of the world, mother of 5 grown-up kids, store owner, Girls On The Run coach, and I guess a gym rat.

2009; I'm 55 now and realize I have been a "sparker" for over 3 years. This last yearand a half have been tough health-wise, but I am so thankful I have such a good level of fitness. Still running and assorted other exercise activities.
I am so blessed with great friends both offline and online. Thank you Rookie Runners Life is such an adventure. I can't wait to find out what God has for me next.

I am a 52 year old mother, wife, teacher and store owner. I spent my whole life with weight problems. I was even a big baby. Two and half years ago at 5'3" and nearly 200 pounds I finally began to lose weight. Almost 70 pounds lighter now I want to continue to lose a few more pounds and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
My passion is first for the Lord and then my family. Not too far behind is my love for running and exersize. Who would of thought those would make my list! God is so good to have blessed me with this health at this stage of my life.
I am hoping Sparkpeople will help me continue this journey.

I'm still an exercise addict and now I am also a Sparkpeople addict. I absolutely love the Rookie Runners Team. You guys are the best!
This year has seen a few changes, some good, some challenging. On the good side I ran a half marathon and continue to be encouraged and encourage others to choose a full life (full of healthier living)
On the challenging side I found out I was gluten intolerant and had to drastically change my eating habits. But that was so much easier with the encouragement I received on this site.
I never would have dreamed that at 53 I would be running 100 miles a month and people would actually be asking me for advice to live healthier and lose weight.
Truly, God and Life are Good!

Thanks for adding me as a sparkfriend. I hadn't read your whole status before, but congratulations on the great Tri. And you do an excellent job of describing your journey. So what is your next challenge? I am done with Tri's for this year. How about you?

    Thanks for the add :)
The HTC was amazing, exhausting, challenging and well worth the work!! We are planning on year 2 already :)

Great to see your progress and the joy you find in TRIs too. There is something about the events that's very satisfying.

    Have a great week!
