Slow and Steady Wins the Race!

I am learning so much about myself through this weight loss experience...for instance, "follow through" is a character trait I really need to work on! I've started off well this year, completing a major goal I had, so I know I can do it. My Goals:
(Beginning weight:
1/1/2010 all time high of 198.5 lbs.)

11/15/2010: lose 54.5 lbs I will weigh 144 lbs.

GOAL ACCOMPLISHED 11/19/2010!! WOOHOO!

I will fit into a size 10 (GOAL SURPASSED OCTOBER 22! SIZE 8!)


11/19/2011 I will maintain the weight loss for a year.
(missed this one but it's ok - hooray for second chances. Plugging away...)

Complete a half marathon
Done 1/15/12 in 3:42:13!

This week's goal: for 1/30
I will rest my legs and do strength yoga daily

6/20/2012 I will get back down to 145 or size 12 and be comfortable.



My Program:
I am running/walking 5 days per week and practicing yoga 5 times a week for strength, stretching and relaxation.

Personal Information:
I like to scrapbook, sing, hike, run and walk. I am a Christian, and would love encouragement not only for fitness but also for my Christian walk. I am a wife, mother, homemaker and full - time mommy to 2 kitties!

Other Information:
I'm learning that life is a series of chaotic events that leave you thankful for the calm, easy times that you might otherwise take for granted. I'm consciously seeking more peace and less chaos.

Hey Lady........so glad to find you on here. Make sure you friend my page as well. You are doing awesome on this program. I was doing good right up until we were having the glass studio done and my mom was coming to town. But I'm back now.

Your progress is really inspiring! YOu are doing a great job. WOW is all I have to say. I used to work the night shift and it does make it hard. I used to exercise as soon as I got home from work because I would still be pretty energetic, then I would shower and go to sleep afterwards. Hope you can find a way because whatever you are doing seems to be working for you.
