At 30 years old I don't feel severely overweight, but I also know from my training that loosing weight after 30 is a lot harder than before! I have battled with my weight my entire life, I was NEVER the skinny one in my family. Recently I got married and though I love myself and my wonderful healthy husband I know that I will feel better when I am in better shape. Hello everybody,

At 30 years old I don't feel severely overweight, but I also know from my training that loosing weight after 30 is a lot harder than before! I have battled with my weight my entire life, I was NEVER the skinny one in my family. Recently I got married and though I love myself and my wonderful healthy husband I know that I will feel better when I am in better shape. This is why I have come back to spark people and I am trying to make even longer lasting weight loss through making better food and regular fitness choices.

I have tried the crash diets and some have even worked in the short term. Atkins helped me loose 50 lbs when I was in my early 20s which I have in the meantime found again. Along with the severe damage it caused to my endocrine system which has resulted in weight gain do to hormone imbalances. Thankfully changing to a gluten free, paleo-type lifestyle has really helped my overall health in ways that still astound me today! But I would still like to get back into my recommended weight range for my health

My Goals:
My goal is to be 185lbs by March of 2013 and to be 165 by December of 2013.

Be able to walk 5 miles without being winded and run 2 miles without breaking!

To be able to complete a Spartan Sprint Race with my husband in 2013.

BE HEALTHY, that is my bottom line.

My Program:
Using the nutrition tracker the most to get the proper amount of calories, fiber and water in my diet.

Food plan, will be mostly Paleo meals to have an overall healthy diet and not just geared towards quick weight loss.

Fitness, I am going to try to follow the 3 days a week program for strengthening. Cardio at least 3 times a week through spin, hiking or kayaking.

Personal Information:
I am a health care professional and it is hard to discuss diet and exercise when you are still battling your own fight to get weight off.

My background includes a Doctorate in Chiropractic, a BS in Biology and a degree in Massage Therapy; I am hoping to add to this a Masters in Clinical Nutrition by 2015!

Other Information:
Favorite hobbies are Hiking, Backpacking & Kayaking. My goal is to be able to do these activities as I age and maintain a healthy lifestyle and an excellent quality of life!

I like how you set long-term goals for yourself. Too many people forget to think past 3 months in the future.
