Finally Living

My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit... it's time to Finally Live like it!

A number of things bring me to this point in my life:

* quit smoking on Thanksgiving of 2011. (My doctor asks if I'm still a former smoker, and I laugh and say that I've "been there done that" and it was stupid so I'm not going back!)

* Dad had a stroke in May 2012. It was terrifying watching as he struggled for words and for basic muscle function.

* My blood ...

* Dad had a stroke in May 2012. It was terrifying watching as he struggled for words and for basic muscle function.

* My blood pressure was deadly. 188/110 alarmed me to the fact that I would have a stroke, too.

* Asking for a seatbelt extender on the airplane is SO humiliating! I am committed to being able to fly to Belarus this summer without having to ask for one.

So here I am, ready to LIVE and not die. I want to be useful to God, not limited physically because of my weight or my health.

My Goals:
Starting weight (and highest ever): 319 in Jan 2013

#1: Lose 10% - 287.
Accomplished!! May 7, 2013.

#2: Next 10% - 258. Accomplished!! Feb 28, 2014

#3: 10% is 232.
#4: 10% is 208
#5: 10% is 187
#6: 10% is 168.3 :)

My Program:
Track track track. Everything that goes in is accounted for.

Exercise at least once a day. Currently I am walking 1.5 miles at lunch, and going to Curves in the evening. Saturday and Sunday are free-for-all days where I pick something fun: a Sparkpeople video, Zumba on xbox, a youtube video...

Personal Information:
Child of God, wife, mother of 2.

Still contemplating what I would like to be when I grow up. In the meantime, I will prepare my mind and body for whatever the Lord sends my way.

I went to the BEACH and my ankles went from tree trunks to elephants! I was swollen pretty bad but Thank Goodness I'm back to normal emoticon
