I truly believe a person can renew their self at any age. I'm here now and ready to challenge myself more than I have at any other time in my life. "Living my life like it's golden" for me means accepting where I am now, being accountable to my goals and putting myself first to obtain a better future.

**** UPDATE 12/22/08 - ONEDERLAND!!! ****

Well, I made it to "onederland".... Yes, that is an accomplishment but I've been here before. I realize I am not going to make my goal of 180 pounds by my birthday in a few days but I am so very proud of where I am right now. I have made some serious progress and changes in my life and not just with my weight. The accomplishment I am most proud of is becomming a full time student and making a commitment to focus on my needs and the needs of my family.

Since I started with SP at the end of August my sweats and all my other clothes are super baggy & my rings are in danger of falling off (I really have to invest in some sizers soon). Yeah, all the physical aspects of loosing weight are great but the mental and emotional aspects are even better. I have more of a spring in my step, my stomach is not upset all the time. I feel as if I have more clarity and focus.

To sum it all up I am so very happy and blessed and I am ready to focus on some new weight loss goals. I am also ready to commit to atleast 1hour 1x per week on spark people because my schedule just won't permit for more than that and I find myself getting away from SP for long periods at a time which I have found is counter effective in achieving and maintaining my weight loss results.

PS. I'll post some update pics before the end of the month.

-Stick to & track 1200-1500 calories a day as often as possible
-Spend 1hour 1x per week on SP
-drink at least 8oz of water a day
-Honor daily commitment to SP exercise buddies
