That is great you are doing art, I am also trying to get back into my artwork. Somehow, I just put it off! So funny how that is. But I have been painting birthday cards for people in my family. I enjoy that a lot.

In case you have not seen this, I thought you might enjoy the photo series by Tom Hussey.

‘Reflections of The Past’ is an award-winning photo series by commercial advertising photographer Tom Hussey. The photographs show an elderly person looking pensively at the reflection of his/her younger self in the mirror.

This passage is from The Writer's Almanac for November 23, 2015. I was so impressed by this mission statement, and if I were a photographer, I think I'd be tempted to adopt parts of it as my own! That last phrase is so humbling -- "to see and be instructed."
We all have so much to learn, whatever profession or hobby we choose.

"On this day in 1936, Life magazine began publication, the first American magazine to make its name on the strength of its photojournalism. Founder Henry R. Luce described the mission of the magazine as follows: 'To see life; to see the world; to eyewitness great events; to watch the faces of the poor and the gestures of the proud ... to see and to take pleasure in seeing; to see and be amazed; to see and be instructed.'
