Hullo All,

I'm aiming to wear a backless dress for my 30th birthday. Being super healthy would be nice too...

About five years ago I managed to shift five stone after a bad break-up; I canít remember if I just cried the pounds away, suddenly went off chocolate (!) or woke up thin (which is how it feels looking back), though I suspect it may have been something to do with the daily nine mile walks where Iíd take myself off to the countryside and rant at trees Ė ranting punctuated with some very dramatic arm gestures and not a little red-faced shouting.

Sadly the last two years have all been about putting it back on , slowly at first and then with a ďoh what the hell, Iím fat so I might as well order a takeaway, one with a giant portion of chips that could safely feed a family of fiveĒ attitude. Now Iím Ö well, Iíll be honest Iím huge at the moment; Iíve only just started to try shed the blubber, but Iím exercising daily, eating right and at a point where I look at the flab and feel quietly expectant that itís going to shift rather than driven to cakes because I look like Iíve eaten a duvet then gone back for seconds.

Anyway, I donned an all black tracksuit and decided it was a secret ninja identity; started running, shredding and having a go at just about anything, and the rest is history.

    I have both Ripped in 30 and No More Trouble Zones burning a hole on top of my DVD player. I was thinking of trying to come up with some kind of rotation with those two.

    I was worried in the beginning that I'd get discouraged if the scale didn't move. Now I just love my routines; walking my dog for miles, Jillian Michaels' workouts and kettlebells (I absolutely adore kettlebells). I'm going to try to focus on those and not worry about the scales... though now they are shifting I'll definitely be more tempted to look!

    Wow, I can't believe you didn't weigh yourself for 4 months!! How could you stand it? I find that it takes all my will power not to weigh myself EVERY DAY! I need to see the scale going down to keep the momentum.

    Great job on all that weight loss!!! That's incredible! More than 12 lbs loss per month! You'll be at your goal weight in no time!!!
