My Friesian Sport Horse Fagan. This picture reminds me to dream big!

Me on my best buddy Gulliver. This was very hard for me to put up, as I hate how I look on him.

Ms. Rommie, my Frieisan mare. The diva of the farm! She'll remind me to keep a positive self image!

I have 4 pics in my gallery

I'm Finally Ready to do This!

I'm 37 years old and mother to a crew of critters, but no human children. I love all of the options that Spark People provides and am excited about making changes in my life. I hope to get back to a reasonable weight and improve my health in the process. I'm just tired of being tired and stiff. I want to be able to walk up a hill without getting out of breath, actively work my horses for more than a few minutes and just generally feel healthy again.

My Goals:
Lose weight.
Increase my cardio ability.
Ride my horses more often.
Improve my health.

My Program:

I know it's not very popular on Spark, but I have now been following a low carb/no sugar lifestyle since February. I was not having any success with just watching my calories and was feeling as if I was starving all the time. So, I tried something different and found a way of life that works for me! No more counting calories or constant hunger pains. This is something I can stick with. I look at this as a long term way of eating and am pretty much over all of my cravings and no longer feel hungry. My blood pressure is also back to normal!

In addition, since early April I've been working out on my Wii Fit Plus and have just added in EA Sports Active. I finally found a work out routine I enjoy and I'm really feeling the difference. I'm also riding my horses more often and just generally more active.

Other Information:
"I am exactly what I am

And not the way you'd like to see me be

I look outside long as I can

Then I close my eyes and watch my world unfold before me."

From the song "You Tell Me that I'm Falling Down" sung by Linda Ronstadt and written by Anna McGarrigle

I just read your post on the fitness message board expressing an interest in sharing support / experience on some of the Wii exorcise game (BTW I completely agree with your assesment of the "Is Wii really excorsize?" issue). Just wanted to mention that there are quite a few Wii releated SparkTeams that will be more than happy to offer help & motivation.

Just a little FYI
