My goal is to lose weight so my awesome horse can be even awesomer. I show western pleasure and western dressage. I'd like to be rid of the "spare tire" and have more energy.
My calorie allotment is 1,000 to 1200 per day; balanced diet with emphasis on protein. I use the treadmill and e.t. during the winter along with weights and stretching. I ride 3-4 times a week. I would ride more but the work is hard for him and he needs a day to recover from HIS strength training.
I'll be 69 in May and live in SE Lower Michigan. Been married to my first husband for 49+ years(I'm thinking I'll probably keep him now), have 2 grown children and 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter. One Golden Retriever, 1 Morgan Western Pleasure/western dressage horse and 1 Morgan pasture ornament. I play classical piano and do all sorts of needlework, and I love to garden.
I work to stay conscious of my thoughts encouraging me to sabotage my program. I work to stay focused and eat ONLY when hungry. I am not "on a diet"...I eat this way because it's suits me and I like it!

I love that you have Morgan horses. I've always wanted one, but I married someone who has no interest in horses (he has a motorcycle he paid $4500 recently sitting in the shed and is 67 & has no business on it.) Love that you play the piano.
