I'm 26 years old. Just got engaged in August of 2012 to my boyfriend (now fiancÚ!!) of 8 years. We bought a house in November. I started my first legit full time, job with benefits, vacation pay, holiday time and all that jazz in December. Needless to say 2012 has been good to me.

I've been maintaining my (unhappy) weight for the past year. I'm ready to do that whole losing weight thing in 2013 though. I struggle with emotional and binge eating as well as general food ...

I struggle with emotional and binge eating as well as general food obsessiveness. I try to work out semi regularly, which is the only reason why I've maintained my weight this past year.

My Program:
I'm not looking at this journey as a diet, but rather changing my mindset on food and making healthier choices MOST of the time. I can't imagine a life without Mexican food, desserts, or good beer and wine. I believe that as long as I eat in moderation, have healthy foods most of the time, and get a good amount of exercise I will meet my goals.

- Eat fruits and vegetables with every meal.

- Drink at least 8 cups of water a day.

- Limit eating out / fast food.

- Reduce portion sizes.

- Exercise at least 5x a week.

Personal Information:
living in ohio. working in the professional food industry (product development for restaurants). fur-mamma to 2 dogs that are my world.

Other Information:
i love.love.love all of the movies wes anderson does (the royal tenenbaums, rushmore, the life aquatic with steve zissou, etc.)

it's my new dream to meet augusten burroughs.

it was my dream to meet art alexakis from everclear but the fiance made it happen on my epic birthday / engagement week in august of 2012.

i wish i could've met andy warhol.

arrested development is one of the best shows that have been on tv.

i love any sort of dystopian movies or books. with oryx and crake by margaret atwood at the heart of it.

craft beers and good wine are amazing. you should try them.

I hope you can find support for permanent eating changes on our team, Living Binge Free. We are a bit of renegades because most of us don't count calories and many of us don't even weigh very often. But we are very committed to learning how to feed ourselves moderately, reasonably, and joyfully. How we eat the first year is often not the same the second year as we get over our diet head and get used naturally to eating less food. Stick with us! emoticon
