It Has to Change in my Head FIRST!

I'm Pam. I've NEVER had an Aha! moment since joining Sparkpeople. I've never had that photo, comment, health scare, etc. where a person says, "This is it! I'm losing this weight!" All I've had is watching that scale get closer and closer to 300 pounds (and then over) and thinking, "I should do something about this, but I don't seem to care." *munch* *chomp* Two more pounds gained.

I need to lose at least 100 pounds, and I want to be healthier. I'm through with "dieting". I will ...

I need to lose at least 100 pounds, and I want to be healthier. I'm through with "dieting". I will never again go through the months of control, the losing over 50 pounds, the elation and pride, and then having the control bleed between my fingers while all the weight comes back on, with the resulting self-loathing. Never again. If it's going to change, it has to change in my head first.

Welcome to the 300+team. 300 is such a BIG number but if we persevere, focus and motivate one another we can reach our goals!
We have so much of life ahead of us and it is so much better to work on ourselves and reach for our goals.
We can do it-- we are worth the effort!
All we can do is take it one day, one bite, one pound at a time.
I am looking forward to supporting you in your quest for better health and a happier future.

Hi Pam! Thanks for the welcome!

I hope the good people and the Japanese-studiers come out of the wood work too ;)

What interests you in Japan?

Hi Pam,
Thanks for the welcome note. I am still on Crestor 20. I will try the oatmeal though. I would love to get off the stuff.

I look through the team page and see what you have.

Thanks for the sushi. Haven't had any since I got back from Japan over Thanksgiving.

Talk to you soon.

Tim
