I'm finally doing this for myself!

I started putting on weight when I was in my 20's. I spent my 20's on a roller coaster of weight loss and weight gain. Now that I'm in my 30's I want to get off that rollercoaster. I want to find the person I used to be, only smarter, more confident and ready to take on life and finally start living. i'm a mother now and do not want my daughter to have to deal with the body confidence and weight issues i've been dealing with. I track my calories of course and portion control! I also use a Fitbit to track steps (I get between 10,000-15,000 steps a day) and it lets me know how many calories I've burned so I keep a deficit from output/intake to lose 1lbs. a week. I don't cheat myself, if I eat it I track it and I do my best to make choices that keep my deficit for the whole day and I make room in my calorie budget for Blue Apron meals (they are usually between 500-700 cals) since they tend to be a tiny bit higher than I prefer (I like 400-500 for dinner) but it's only 3 days a week.

I also don't eat a lot of junk food that has no nutritional value anymore, I choose snacks and such during the day that helps me get my fiber and protein goals for the day as well as keeping my calorie deficit goal. I don't stay within a fixed calorie range so it's more flexible that way for me. So on days I do jogging I have a bit more cals to eat but on days I only walk a little less so on and so forth!!! LOL
It works for me really well and I've been doing this and improving it over the last year.

Also like tonight is going to be a Blue Apron Meatloaf meal that is supposed to be around 700 I am actually going to cut the portion down a bit to make it more doable since today is not a jog day. I just do my best to plan and balance diet/exercise to support a healthy weight and currently a continued loss.

well as long as you know what's causing the weight gain it's not worth worrying about, right?

that's awesome about King of New Orleans!
