Saw a video of myself and said, "Wow, I'm fat!"

I did the Graffiti Run 5K yesterday (1/18/14) with my fiance and her sister came to cheer us on. It was great fun! Afterwards, however, I was watching one of the videos my sis-in-law took and said, "Wow, I'm fat!" I've always known I was overweight, but now I'm seeing myself as others see me and it's pretty gross! So, I'm back on Spark again to get back to the healthy lifestyle I need!

My Goals:
~Make healthy eating and exercise a part of my lifestyle, not just something to lose weight.
~Feel good about my body
~Fit comfortably in my clothes

My Program:
~Drink eight 8 oz glasses of water daily.
~ Plan meals, use freezer and crock pot more often.
~Eat out and order take out only two times per month each
~Walk the dogs, 30 (total) minutes per day
~Yoga, walking meditation, or stretching, 10-20 minutes per day
~Cardio 30 minutes, 4 times per week
~Strength Training 30 minutes, 2 times per week



Personal Information:
I'm a special education teacher in south TX. My job is the most challenging, yet rewarding thing I have ever done and I LOVE IT! My students make me smile everyday.

I am married to an amazing woman who loves me and supports me and my goals. She's on SP too! Check out her page MILETAKER84 :-)


Other Information:
I love to read, when I have time, especially fantasy and books about psychology and the human mind. I like to study religion and culture also, so I read a lot of books on these topics.

I love spending time with friends, doing pretty much anything, and new friends are always welcome!

Hi Erin! Just wanted to let you know that the San Antonio Spark team will be starting a new eight-week challenge to help people stay on track - or get on track - over the holidays.
